I had my second baby the week the pandemic hit the US. Navigating those first few months with a newborn and a toddler, and without help (due to lockdown) was one of the most challenging times I can recall as a parent. My husband and I were working full time from home, my son was adjusting to life outside of his routine and school, and my daughter, who was a preemie, was dealing with terrible colic. The isolation was real and the toll colic took on the entire family was profound. The only time she seemed content was when she was sleeping on me and it lasted for over three months. In order to get anything done, including running Anook, I had to have her in a carrier on me ALL DAY. I was gifted the best carrier and it really saved me and now it is my go to for any new mamas in my life. It was my number one must have in my postpartum phase.
